Ten months ago, I first captured a Yellow Pond Lily (also known as a Spatterdock) jutting from the unusually glass-like stillness of a nearby canal (see Still Life). Recently, in the same canal, but at an earlier hour that yielded an even bluer cast to the very still water, I came upon another. Photographed in Coral Springs, Florida, June 20, 2014. Gorgeous shot, Kenn. The framing is superb and the colors and clarity are too.
Thank you, George—so glad you like it.
Ken…so beautiful. I’m viewing this on my iPhone, I can only imagine how stunning it must look on a big screen. I can’t wait to check it out on my desktop!
You are very kind, Elisa—thank you! I hope you like it as much on the big screen.
Very lovely image, Kenn Great idea going so close I must remember that 🙂 ❤
Thank you, Hanna—I’m flattered!
Kenn! This is fabulous! Another mouth opener for me. I love how you framed this image. I am not able to put into words how this affects me. Just another wow from me. xx Amy
Always wonderful to receive a “Wow” from you, dear Amy. Thank you!
I honestly don’t know what to say, Kenn, because your work just stuns me. I think if I saw this in person, I would be hunched down and just mesmerized by it. Nature never stops surprising me. You ought to be patting yourself on the back for how you viewed this and composed it. xx Amy
You sure know how to keep this amateur motivated. Thank you, Amy, for your very generous plaudits! 🙂
Wow, Kenn, are you serious? I am having so much fun searching first of all for waterfalls, then finding them, and then photographing them. I’ve gotten all the way to a 30 second shutter speed with some of my water shots. WOW! I have yet to show those babies! Hehehehehehe And when I do, again your mouth will drop. Thank you SO much for your comment. You really touched me. (((HUGS))) Amy
Lovely shot, Kenn.
Thank you, Pat!
Great composition – the blueness of the water accentuates the flower.
Thank you, PC—much appreciated!
This is beautiful, Kenn, and that water really is so still.
Love that blue!
Wishing you a wonderful week ahead!
Much thanks, Lisa—may the coming week be wonderful for you, too!
Molto bella!!
Grazie mille, cara Patrizia!
Beautiful!
Thank you, Priya!
