On the west side of Manhattan’s Central Park, near 81st Street, sits a four-acre section known as Shakespeare’s Garden, an area with flora that consists exclusively of items either mentioned in Shakespeare’s works or contained within his personal garden in Stratford-upon-Avon. As one might expect, Shakespeare’s Garden in Central Park hosts a rose or two—including this one, photographed September 19, 2014. Higher resolution versions of this photo can be viewed at 500px.com.
