What could perhaps be mistaken for a French or Italian estate is actually the Mertz Library at the New York Botanical Garden.  Built in 1898, this neo-Renaissance structure houses one of the most extensive botanical libraries in the world.  Photographed in The Bronx, New York, April 25, 2015.  Higher resolution versions of this photo can be viewed at 500px.com.
