Well after sundown on the evening of September 8, 2013, the market on the corner of 71st Street and Columbus Avenue in Manhattan’s Upper West Side illuminates its outdoor floral selection using overhead flourescent lighting, affording me the lucky luxury of capturing the vivid colors without flash or shadows. You’ve posted East Side, Bowery and this one since I was last here. They are really good photographs with deep color that I like. Your fall doesn’t look as if winter is on the way. I was in the garden just now and realized that for the first time I do not feel good about the coming months without the life and color of my garden. Perhaps, I am getting old, after all… 🙂
You are not old, my friend. I recently read that 65 is the new 41, 70 is the new 43-and-a-half, and 75 is the new 45-ish, so you’re still practically a kid! Soon, fall will bring its own brand of colors, winter will clean out all the pipes, and then, before you know it, spring will bloom again (as it always does). 🙂

Thanks, Pat–the shop owner gets all the credit for this one. The array was composed so nicely, and so well lit against the dark night, all I had to do was point and shoot.
