Though it lasted no more than an instant, the stillness was absolute. Captured in Coral Springs, Florida, on August 22, 2013. Higher resolution versions of this photo can be viewed at 500px.com.
Nice
Thank you, my friend.
Magnifique effet de lumière dans le relief de cet or. Tout l’art parfait d’un tableau. Et merci beaucoup pour votre visite sur mon blog

Pingback: Pretty Much The Best Award Ever | Along Life's Road
Love how the pads lead your eye right for the pod. Great capture.
Thank you, T–very kind of you to comment, and I’m so glad you like it.
H and me at thesimplesmiles.wordpress.com have nominated you for the Versatile blogger award! Please read this post! 🙂
http://thesimplesmiles.wordpress.com/2013/08/25/the-versatile-blogger-award/
Thank you–I am honored, flattered, and humbled! And congrats to the both of you—the recognition is well-deserved!
You deserve it as well! I look forward to seeing what you have to say in your post about it!
Once again, you are so kind! I’m always honored and flattered by these awards, and very much appreciate the recognition, but because I’ve dedicated this blog solely to the presentation of photographs, I refrain from any posts of a narrative nature—which means, for most of the awards (this one included), I can’t fulfill the conditions that require narrative responses. If this means you must nominate someone in my place, I’d understand completely.
It’s okay, I completely understand. We nominated a few other photo blogs and weren’t sure if they’d post, but decided to go ahead anyway. And no, fresh photo pic is one of my favorite blogs at the moment, I don’t want to nominate someone new 🙂
🙂
Tolles Foto lieber Gruß und eine gute neue Woche.Lieber Gruß Gislinde

Beautiful composition!!!
The subtle colors of the pads and the reflection in the water really brings out the Lily bud!

Thank you, Michael! Your photos are wonderful–I’m now following!
Thanks so much!!!
This is such an amazing composition, Kenn!
Have a fantastic weekend!
Thank you, Lisa–wishing you a great weekend, too!
How wonderful and peaceful 🙂
So glad that comes through in the photo, Inga–that’s how it felt in the actual moment.
It really was absolute. The reflection on the water is perfectly still. What is that bud? A water lily? An interesting shot.
Thank you, George. The bud is a yellow water lily, also known as a spatterdock. And believe it or not, it’s almost fully mature in the photo–they don’t open up completely the way the white ones do.
Well, it’s dramatic emerging from the still water. I liked that image, Kenn. And, it appeared in my READER. May wonders never cease…
🙂
Great shot…….
Thank you, Mona!
