Usually, if I creep to within 30 feet of a heron, it’ll bolt after hearing two or three snaps from my camera. Not this one. This blue heron stood his ground fearlessly as I clicked away with a 250mm lens from about ten yards. Taken at the Green Cay Nature Center in Boynton Beach, Florida, on August 18, 2013.
