Though several of my posts have featured flora and fauna from the Green Cay Nature Center in Boynton Beach, Florida, the Center’s main building is itself a worthy subject for a camera’s lens. Housing live animal exhibits and a lecture hall—not to mention serving as the entrance to a publicly owned, admission-free nature preserve that boasts 100 acres of deepwater zones, freshwater marshes, tree islands, and forested wetlands (all accessible via almost two miles of elevated boardwalks)—the Center’s main building is a visually compelling complement to the environment it was erected to celebrate.
